Seasonal Jobs – No Experience Required!
Looking for a summer job? That’s FUN?
Look no further than your local events and festivals! It takes many hands to pull off an event, whether it’s a small service organization or a large concert venue – they ALL need volunteers.
This is where you come in! Research some of your favorite local festivals and give them a call or check out their websites to see how to apply!
Is there an out of town event you’ve always dreamed of attending?
Give them a call or see how they supply on site workers, then get in contact with that organization and see how to apply or volunteer!
The director of a local non profit told us that they frequently have fundraising opportunities they could attend, but without the required staff they don’t qualify… Reach out to a non-profit you support and let them know you are available to help if they need bodies on site at events.
What to expect…
Granted volunteering is just that, you get to attend for free in return for working the event.
Sometimes they have perks! Like swag, backstage access, food, drinks, it all depends on the event itself.
Here’s a list of some upcoming festivals!
- Lavender Festival
- Western Slope Cowboy Festival
- Mesa County Fair
- Country Jam
- Fruita 3rd of July Fireworks
I also know the folks at he Grant a Wish Program are always looking for volunteers!
However, there are some paid positions out there for workers as well. I know several people that started volunteering and were SO good at what they did, they got hired on for several years after!
- Resorts
- Camps
- Gift Shops
- Swimming Pools
- Bike Shops
And don’t forget about being a camp host at your favorite Organized Camps or Campground!
